Brandon L. Keith
BHC 40 Under 40 | Class of 2026 | At the Helm
Director, Clinical Solutions Pharmacist (MID) | McKesson | Baltimore, MD
Brandon L. Keith, PharmD, DPLA, BCACP, is a Director and Clinical Solutions Pharmacist at McKesson, where he is advancing the future of specialty pharmacy. With more than 20 years of experience, his work spans oncology, multispecialty care, and clinical operations, with a consistent focus on expanding equitable access to life-saving therapies.
Through national speaking, mentorship, and leadership, Keith is also deeply committed to transforming healthcare systems while building and supporting the next generation of diverse leaders.
The Journey
Keith’s path into healthcare began with a lifelong passion for health, wellness, and fitness, paired with a deep curiosity about how medications can improve, restore, and save lives.
He started his career as a pharmacy technician in a grocery store, where he quickly realized the dynamic and human-centered nature of the profession.
"No two days were the same, and every interaction mattered."
That experience shaped both his perspective and his ambition. It pushed him to grow within the field and expand his impact on patient care and outcomes.
What This Recognition Means
For Keith, the recognition reflects far more than personal achievement. It represents the mentors, patients, and communities that have shaped and inspired his journey.
It also reinforces a sense of responsibility to continue leading with intention, creating opportunities, opening doors, and empowering the next generation of Black healthcare professionals to grow and lead.
What’s Next
Having recently stepped into his role as Director of Clinical Solutions Pharmacist, Keith is focused on expanding his impact across oncology and multispecialty practices at scale.
His work centers on helping organizations with medically integrated dispensing optimize clinical, operational, and financial outcomes. He is applying his experience in healthcare economics to strengthen practice sustainability while improving the quality of patient care.
"Prioritize building and nurturing your professional network. I consistently learn and gain encouragement from peers, mentors, and mentees alike. And invest in continuous self-directed learning. If an organization isn't able to invest in a development opportunity, invest in yourself anyway. It always pays dividends in the long run."
Keith’s work reflects a clear throughline. Innovation, access, and leadership must move together to create meaningful and lasting impact in healthcare.
