Christopher Choudhry, MHA

BHC 40 Under 40 | Class of 2026 | At the Helm

Vice President, Support Services | Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center | New York, NY

Christopher Choudhry is Vice President of Support Services at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where he leads Environmental Services, Food and Nutrition Services, and Patient Transport for a team of more than 1,000.

He is a results-driven leader focused on operational excellence, people development, and elevating both the patient and staff experience. His leadership approach is grounded in building high-performing teams while ensuring that equity and representation remain central to how healthcare organizations grow and operate.

The Journey

There was no single defining moment that led Choudhry into healthcare. Instead, the path was consistent and clear.

"I didn't have a single defining moment, but I've always known I wanted to be in healthcare."

Early exposure through a summer youth program and his mother’s work as a nurse introduced him to the hospital environment and reinforced his desire to help people, solve problems, and make a meaningful impact.

What This Recognition Means

Choudhry views this recognition as a reflection of collective impact rather than individual achievement. It represents the mentors, teams, and communities that have shaped his journey and reinforces his responsibility to lead with purpose and invest in others.

What’s Next

His focus remains on building leaders, strengthening teams, and advancing equity, access, and representation across one of the nation’s leading cancer centers.

"Never lose sight of the people. The work, the metrics, and the outcomes all matter, but it is the people, your teams and those you serve, who make the impact possible. Stay grounded in relationships, invest in your teams, and lead with empathy, because how you show up for people will ultimately define your impact."

Choudhry’s leadership reflects a core truth in healthcare. Systems succeed when people are centered, and when leaders invest as deeply in teams as they do in outcomes.
