The Journey
Dr. Tito’s path into healthcare began in a coastal town in Cameroon.
"Witnessing those physicians serve strangers inspired me..."
Growing up in a setting with limited access to care, he saw firsthand the consequences of systemic gaps. Those early experiences shaped his commitment to ensuring that access to healthcare is not determined by geography or resources.
What This Recognition Means
For Dr. Tito, this recognition validates the work he has dedicated to bridging healthcare gaps.
He views it not as an individual achievement, but as a reflection of the collective impact of The Body Screening Project and the broader mission of expanding access to preventative care.
What’s Next
His focus is on global health sustainability.
He is working to train community health workers to perform cardiovascular screenings in rural areas, creating long-term infrastructure that continues beyond short-term interventions.
"Look beyond the disease to see the whole person."
Dr. Tito’s work reflects a long-term vision. Healthcare equity is not a moment; it is a system that must be built to last.
