OB-GYN | Memorial Hermann | Houston, TX

Dr. Andrea Alexander is a board-certified OB-GYN at Memorial Hermann in Houston. Her work blends clinical care with a modern approach to women’s health that incorporates education, culture, and accessible content.

She is committed to improving Black maternal health outcomes while making healthcare conversations more transparent, relatable, and grounded in real life, both inside and outside of the clinic.

The Journey

Dr. Alexander’s path into healthcare began with a defining moment in seventh grade.

"While my brother was panicking, something in me stayed calm."

When her mother passed out unexpectedly, she instinctively stepped in to assess the situation. That moment revealed something foundational about how she responds under pressure and clarified her path forward.

From that point on, the direction felt clear.

For Dr. Alexander, this recognition represents both acknowledgment and responsibility.

It reflects the impact of her work in maternal health, education, and advocacy, while also reinforcing the importance of visibility. She views it as a reminder that consistency matters and that showing up for community has real impact over time.

What’s Next

Dr. Alexander is building a platform at the intersection of women’s health, beauty, and accessible education.

Her goal is to create a space where women, especially Black women, feel seen, informed, and empowered to advocate for themselves. She is also expanding her content into deeper storytelling around maternal health and overall wellness.

"Stay rooted in people, not just protocols."

Dr. Alexander is redefining how care is experienced by meeting patients where they are and making healthcare both accessible and human.
